Literature Text
“Winter, to Ember, after a ‘rude awakening’”
Oh, don’t you chase my tail again,
Or I shall summon so much rain,
Your fiery fur’ll be dripping wet,
You’ll be as soaked as soaked can get!
And I shan’t stop there, don’t you know,
For next I’m gonna make it snow!
I’ll soak you in so many ways,
Your fire may not relight for days.
With hurricanes and cyclones too,
I’ll change your wings from pink to blue,
Until you wish you’d never thought,
That my tail should be what you caught!
There’ll be another lesson in
A taste of your own medicine.
You little brat, I’ll show you how –
Hey, let go of my tail right now!
Or I shall summon so much rain,
Your fiery fur’ll be dripping wet,
You’ll be as soaked as soaked can get!
And I shan’t stop there, don’t you know,
For next I’m gonna make it snow!
I’ll soak you in so many ways,
Your fire may not relight for days.
With hurricanes and cyclones too,
I’ll change your wings from pink to blue,
Until you wish you’d never thought,
That my tail should be what you caught!
There’ll be another lesson in
A taste of your own medicine.
You little brat, I’ll show you how –
Hey, let go of my tail right now!

This is a beautiful poem! Nicely done!
